Cookies Policy

Browsing Eurogloss sets no cookies unless you ask it to. The platform uses no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics cookies, which is why you see no cookie banner.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

When a project researcher or editor signs in, the platform sets session and security cookies. They keep that person signed in and protect the login form against cross-site request forgery, they are not used for tracking, and they expire on their own. Under the ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary cookies like these do not require consent.

Preference Cookie

If you close the "latest entry" card on the glossary page, a cookie named eg-latest-entry-dismissed remembers that choice, so the card stays hidden until a newer entry is published. It holds only the number of the entry you closed, is never sent to anyone else, and expires after one year. It is set only at your request, so it does not require consent.

Usage Statistics Without Cookies

We do measure how the platform is used, but through a first-party, cookieless technique described in the Privacy Policy: no identifier is ever stored in your browser.
